I just returned from a quick run/walk outside. Now that we are rolling into September there are cooler temps and breezes which make for great early morning runs.
I was up by 4:55 this morning and was out the door by 5:15. We tried a 4 minute run and 1 minute walk intervals and it was okay...but geez is there an exercise watch that you can set a vibrating timer on? Or what I was doing was when we started a 4 minute run I started a new song. And when the song was over it was four minutes. I guess that may be the way I would think about timing those. For those of you that don't run with an Ipod more power to you but for us weaklings I will enjoy my music.
Something is going on with my right heel. On Tuesday after my 5 mile run when i took off my shoes and walked around the house I couldn't put any pressure on my heel. It hurt like a sprain or something. And today while walking back to the house I started to feel a little strain above my heel up my calf. I need to figure it out. But it doesn't feel too great.
Anyhow, enough of my whining. I'm now training for a half in a couple of weeks. I know I can do it and i'm happy about it.
Having my yougart with granola and a cup of coffee. Off to the showers and work. Have a great Thursday.

how the heck do you wake up so early? I'm so impressed. I can't seem to change my nightowl ways! And I cannot run without my ipod. I know it's psychological but I need music to run!!
